No Man's Sky is an action-adventure survival video game developed and published by the indie studio Hello Games for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. The game was released worldwide in August 2016.[1]
Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.
In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.[2]
Kim has a series on the game. She has clocked in nearly 40 hours of gameplay as of end September 2016, aiming to reach the centre of the universe. She also plays the game while watching Deep Space Nine.[3] Kim shared that she enjoys games like this due to her preference for sci-fi and exploration genres. She also understands why people may not enjoy No Man's Sky due to lacking features.[4]
Martyn has played the game over multiple streams. The footage of this playthrough was uploaded to his livestream archive channel.
Duncan only played the game for about 6 hours. He dislikes it for its repetitive gameplay.[5]
