Today I Played is a YouTube channel started by Lewis Brindley and Mark Turpin, with the purpose of playing a new game every day. It was officially created on August 13, 2018 with its first video uploaded also on the same day. On this channel you can see Lewis, Turps and other Yogscast members review games they have played.
The channel has been inactive since December 2019, likely as a result of burnout after the Jingle Jam and Lewis no long being interested in the content the channel produced with the last video posted being Star Stable - Today I Played. The channel was left on just under 50K subscribers and 5.7M views.
Trivia[]
- Alex Turner was the editor of Today I Played.
- They did five episodes before messing up their everyday format.
- The Today I Played Logo, Banners, and episode thumbnails were designed by Joe Hickson.
- Today I Played is often shortened to its acronym TIP.
- The first guest featured on TIP was Simon Lane. On episode two both Paul Sykes (Sjin) and Duncan Jones are featured.
- The longest episode of TIP was on Survisland, being 15:32 in length and can be found here, no guests are in this episode.
- Bouphe has been featured multiple times. Episodes with Bouphe in the thumbnail have been known to get more views than others. Turps decided to abused this.
- The TIP episode on Rocket League is the first episode not hosted by either Lewis or Turps.
- The channel was formerly called "Today I Played with Lewis and Turps and friends" but was renamed following Turps' departure from the Yogscast.
- TIP's 2021 resurgence was mainly brought about by Lewis' distain for Darkest Dungeon 2[1].
