The Yogscast Wiki promotes a number of policies and guidelines that provide a framework for best practices for editors and visitors of this Wiki.

Policies set general rules for the wiki's administration and its content. Their goal is to establish basic criteria for all content and rules for user behaviour and administrative tools.

Guidelines describe desired etiquette and common practice in the creation, editing and organization of articles on this wiki. These guidelines aim to make the wiki easier to use for both editors and readers alike, as well as to make the content's appearance more consistent and streamlined.

Wikia policies are changed by the decision of Wikia Staff. If there is an issue with a Wikia policy, please use Special:Contact.

Adding or changing a policy or guidelineEdit

Any editor is free to edit policies and guidelines to improve clarity and readability. However, changes to the actual content or meaning should only be done with community consensus.

The procedure for proposing a change to a policy, or an introduction of a new policy, is to create a topic in the General Discussion Board on the Forums. Decisions will lead to a final draft and a vote will be called regarding the material. Administrators hold the decision of the vote length, as well as the ability to veto a policy provided they have proper valid reasons. Similarly, administrators may "decree" policies or guidelines, however this should also be done with consensus among the Wiki Staff.
